Motel 6 Birmingham, AL

My room was very smoky. I did not like it. I thought the whole motel was like that so I didn't ask to change. My parents were in another room that was not at all smoky, so I should have asked to move. Otherwise it was ok. Inside was much better than the outside looks.

Positive: N/a Negative: Dirty floors, no coffee, bathroom too small, took forever for water to warm

Update. It's 12/4/25 and we still have not gotten our deposit back of 50$! Manager said 5-7 days, well we are goin on 2 weeks now. Also we wanted our Room refunded after only staying for 2 hours because of the homeless digging thru trash outside my room black mold all over our ac unit kids throwing all kinds of objects over the balcony into the parking lot where cars are parked. Now the manager claims that nobody knew about this and that the man working that night doesn't know anything. We had to turn in our keys when we left and told the man working why we were leaving. It's not my problem he was to embarrassed about his work place to not say anything to the manager. We as customers deserve to voice our complaint and concerns when we are spending our hard earned money to give it to people

The old saying "you get what you pay for" is true for this cheap motel. I didn't expect much, and I certainly didn't get much. The one thing I did expect was at least a clean bed which I did not get. Not only were the sheets all dingy with holes in them but they did not fit the bed. When I complained at the office I was told that all of their sheets were the same size. So I asked if all their beds were the same size to which he answered no that they offered two different size beds depending weather you wanted a room with one bed or two beds. When I tried to make my point that they should then have 2 different size sheets then all of a sudden he couldn't speak English or understand what I was saying. The only word he could say was house keeping-house keeping.

Do not stay here! I came to visit family and stayed at this hotel. It was supposed to be a non smoking room but once I came in there it smelled straight like cigarettes. There was cockroaches coming from the sink and behind the beds. I have a daughter that cannot be in that environment. I went to the front desk to see if I can get a refund since I was staying there for 4 days but they denied it and refused to do anything about it even after showing them pictures of how the room was. They said they just go inspected and did not have any complaints about it. I’m going to get the state involved, and hopefully they get closed down soon!!
