Holiday Inn Express & Suites Birmingham - Homewood by IHG

Comparing it to the Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden Inn this is much better for the price. The rooms were clean and the front desk staff were very helpful. The linen did not have the typical hotel smell, and the bathroom looked clean.

Fantastic Experience……We travel alot and this hotel was ideal for our needs. We stayed 3 nights for a family wedding. The staff were all great and super friendly, cleanliness was perfect, very safe, great location. Best shower pressure, great A/c and black out blinds, this was the most quiet hotel we have stayed in. I can be a picky guest and everything was perfect! Even though my spouse travels Alot for work and stays at various hotels from now on I am sold on holiday inn express if the Homewood location represents their brand. Thank you for treating us like family. 😎

This hotel was one of the cleanest hotels I've been in lately.. Room was clean, bed was comfortable with a couple of choices for pillows and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was adequate with a few hot options along with cereal, yogurt and cinnamon rolls. The breakfast attendant did an awesome job of keeping everything well stocked and clean. The area felt safe and had several restaurants and stores nearby, if needed. Had no trouble getting an Uber at this location. Would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to others.

I hate writing reviews like this because I know the staff work hard to make our stay comfortable. This is probably the worst Holiday Inn Express we have stayed. There were positive things, but some of the basic comforts were not met. When we booked the hotel, we were told that there were restaurants close by. We did not have a car and the girl at the front desk said that none of the restaurants are in walking distance. She recommended door dash. As many of you know, there is a charge for door dash. We were also hungry and did not want to wait for someone to deliver food 1 hour later. We opted to purchase a pot pie from the hotel's freezer case. We cooked it in the microwave. It was ok. Finally a hotel where everything is working as it was designed to work. This hotel was on all the details which was refreshing. Thank you for including a clock in the room!!! So many hotels are going away from this, but I still need to know what time it is when I wake up in the middle of the night.
