Motel 6 Austin, TX - North

I've had an extended stay and it has been a pleasant experience overall. All of the staff have been professional, friendly, and generously accommodating when needed, including Nikki, Amy, and others. There is also security that may do walk-arounds at night. Yes, there will be some aesthetic dings, but a clean, functional room at a budget-friendly rate and with welcoming staff is great. Location-wise, it's by the interstate and you can expect traffic noise. However, if you're a foodie, there's some great spots to go to or order for delivery, as well as an HEB within 1mi.

Check-in was a breeze and Veronica at the front desk was very pleasant. Once in the room, because I cleaned up water spilt on the floor, I found the white toilet paper turned absolutely black AND with ***** hairs on it to boot. All this within 1sq ft. I called the lobby and asked how often the floors were mopped. I was told “every day.” I related what I had found to the contrary and was asked if I wished to change rooms to which I said “yes!”. When I went down to retrieve the new key, I took the wadded toilet paper with me and she took a picture of it before throwing it in the garbage! There were two very large, well lit, vending machines in a hallway off the main lobby, and the ice machine was in good working order and the ice, clean and solidly frozen. This by far is the best Motel 6 in N. Austin. It is very clean, they have really nice employees and they are also pet friendly! Years ago this location was not the place to be but that's all changed now. Rundberg and IH35 is improving and I have to say that this motel is a prime example. It's also very well lit and very quiet here. Come check it out you'll be glad you did. The price is about the most affordable in Austin and compared to the other motels in this price range Motel 6 north is WAY better than those nasty places. If you want a clean bed, fresh sheets and a safe place to relax this is it. Also if you're worried about your car being safe, here you don't have worry. The only issue is sometimes the traffic on the access road due to construction but really it's doable and worth i
