Motel 6 Austin, TX - Airport

Extremely disappointing experience We booked a room and the guest arrived about 20 minutes after the booking was confirmed, but was refused check-in because the hotel claimed that only a physical ID is accepted. This requirement was never clearly stated on the booking page or in the hotel rules. An electronic ID was available, but the hotel made no effort to offer any solution — no remote verification, no deposit option, no assistance through Booking. They were quick to refuse service, yet perfectly fine with keeping the reservation active. Very poor customer service and zero flexibility. If you don’t want to risk being turned away at the door due to undisclosed rules, I do not recommend this place.

It was a pretty decent hotel. I stayed up there on room 329 which was on the third floor. When I walked in the room was extremely clean and beyond expectations hot shower with good pressure and very quiet. It was pretty relaxing. I would definitely stay here again at the Motel 6 airport Austin, Texas when I am in the area again.

I stay here because it is very close to the VA Clinic. I live more than a 100 miles from Austin so when I have an early morning appointment I stay here so I do not have to fight the early morning traffic in Austin. It is much easier to spend the night and then go to my appointment. The rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable, very close to the VA clinic, nice staff and pricing fits my budget.

The hotel is close to the airport. That’s the only positive I have. I booked the hotel to rest before an early flight and had maximum 4 hours of sleep. From 12:30-5am my upstairs neighbor was walking loudly (The walls are paper thin so you hear everything). Also, the room in front of me has a loud dog that would bark loudly through the middle of the night as kids would run around loudly in the hallway at 3am-4am. When I went to the lobby around 3am they said they could not do anything for me. Very unhelpful. Also I’m not sure how I feel about having a large pit bull at the check in counter where the towels and sheets are cleaned. Very bad experience

I stayed at the Motel 6 Airport Austin and was assigned room 329. Shortly after settling in, I discovered small bugs consistent with roaches in the room. This is not a cosmetic issue. It is a health and safety concern. I immediately notified the front desk. The response showed a lack of urgency and care. No meaningful remediation was offered. Management proposed a 15 percent discount as the resolution. That is unacceptable when pests are present in a guest room. There was no room inspection in my presence. No clear explanation of corrective action. No assurance the issue was isolated or addressed properly. A minor discount does not mitigate exposure to insects or the sanitation risk involved.
