Motel 6 Allentown, PA

This hotel is really clean and quiet. It’s def a basic no frills hotel, no breakfast, but the coffee is great and the atmosphere is too. Jackie checked me in and was really sweet. The person checking in after me literally said “I’m so glad it’s you” to her. Every time I left she was helping someone or having a friendly convo, and even used sign language with one guy, which I don’t see very often. I commended her for it later and she said she only knows a little sign and mostly writes things down, but at least there was effort. I only saw the night guy once but he was super respectful and kind! Even housekeeping was amazing and really helpful. The rooms may be basic, but like I said, the atmosphere is perfect. Positive: The staff was excellent, the gentleman that helped us check in was very friendly and welcoming. He made a point to ask us how the room was. Negative: This hotel seems to be older and is in need of some renovation and repair. The room was clean overall, but did have a few area such as under the table that looked like it was missed by housekeeping. The mattress was thin and rather uncomfortable.

I had a medical emergency that forced me to return home early, and I tried to cancel the remaining nights of my stay. Unfortunately, my experience with both the hotel and Expedia has been a complete mess.||I checked out on Sunday morning around 10AM, even though I was booked until Tuesday. I had informed hotel staff on Saturday (before the 3PM deadline) that I would need to leave early, but no one seemed to know the proper procedure. I was bounced between multiple staff members. One told me to wait for the next shift, another said I needed to go through Expedia, and then a third said I would also need to speak with a manager. When I went to reception on Sunday, I was told the manager wasn’t available on weekends and couldn’t be reached.||Because of the confusion, I lost out on the refund f

Book it! BEST MOTEL6 I have stayed at. The sweetest staff too. Room, and whole area including the location was very nice. It was clean. I felt safe. They had that liquid coffee machine and the coffee was delicious. Room was 203. A single queen bed with table, chair. Plenty of room for one person. However, Do not plan to take a bath unless you are 3 Ft tall. LOL. Small tub. Shower was nice. I am 6ft and did not have to crouch to rinse my head. Bed was a platform queen and quite comfortable. The only complaint would be the loud stepping guests above me until 11pm. Traveled here for a dog show. The motel was quite accommodating.

Although rooms look a bit dated… the service staff is very responsive, proactive and customer oriented. Very budget friendly , clean and highly recommended 👍🏽
