Americus Hotel, part of Unscripted by Hyatt

My boyfriend and I stayed here for Valentines Day and we had a blast. The front desk staff and valet were friendly and helpful. The hotel has an older feel with history which we really enjoyed. The location was great with lots of places to go for food and drinks. The nighttime bartender Joel was awesome. Gave us a little tour and delicious desserts to take back to our room. We didnt make it to breakfast or lunch so I cant speak on the food but all in all a great stay. Would definitely stay there again.

The Americus Hotel is a property which recently joined the Hyatt Portfolio of properties, so, as Hyatt Globalists, we had to stay here and give it a try. My family and I spent the weekend at The Americus Hotel and it was very enjoyable. Our 2 bedroom suite was spacious and nice, the staff is friendly and helpful, the Valet was fast, the dining area is very pretty, and the location is great. The historic charm of this hotel truly makes it a gem. If you appreciate beautifully restored, historically preserved properties, then The Americus Hotel is a property you should stay at if you're traveling in the Allentown, PA area. We look forward to staying at this property again.

The atmosphere of the hotel is early 20th century. It’s a great balance between showing the history of the building while having today’s amenities. The room I had was large. It had its own living area, dining area and small kitchen. It was fantastic. The hotel is in the area of the center city and is within walking distance to the PPL Center and music halls. A very nice place.

Positive: Breakfast cafe was good, bathroom was nicely lit and stocked, and bed was comfortable. Negative: The view was not a view, it was more like a prison window. The room was cold and couldn?t be adjusted w/o calling the front desk who were always irritated. It was hard to find out how/where to order breakfast and seemed understaffed. Fridge was faulty.

Great Stay, Valet Highly Recommended I had an amazing stay at The Americus Hotel in Allentown. The hotel itself was excellent — clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a great overall atmosphere. The staff was friendly and professional, which made the experience even better. The only minor challenge is parking, as it can be a bit difficult on your own. However, the valet service is a fantastic option and completely stress-free. If you choose valet, parking becomes a non-issue and is absolutely worth it. Overall, a wonderful stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area — especially if you opt for valet parking.
