Motel 6 Albany, NY

This was genuinely the worst and somewhat scariest experience of my entire life. We are college students trying to travel as much as possible, and this was the cheapest place that we could find (although $80 is not cheap). When we got there, there were pubic hairs all over the tub and bathroom, there was a lighter on the bed, some type of burns on the counters, the sheets, towels, and pillows were stained with something yellowish red, and over all just crumbs everywhere. There was also a cigarette/ marajauna smell in the hallways. Seemingly, most of the people who were there, lived there, and made it obvious. Since the place was quite lackluster, to say the least, we ran to Walmart to get sheets to cover the bed, different pillows, and disinfecting wipes so we didn't get sick. We had read

I stayed here August 2024 and I still think about it sometimes. I came back here to read reviews and have a laugh... these other reviews are so funny because everything is true. It's even funnier because, like me, people will read the reviews and brush them off, saying "it can't be that bad!". To be fair, the gentleman at the front desk asked me if I wanted to see the room before I booked - this should have been my first warning. I didn't bother, but quickly understood why he asked once we got to our room. The pictures will speak for themselves, but.. the towels were dirty, every surface was sticky and unwiped, the soap in the shower was already opened and sitting used on its wrapper, there were chips in the window sill, hair all over the sink and tub. Avoid this hotel at all cost. Booked through Expedia and paid $120, this hotel isn’t even worth $12 a night. My husband and I were travelling for hours and just needed a spot to rest before our next day drive. Upon check in they tried to make me pay for the rooom that was already pre-paid. I booked a non smoking room but when we entered the room we were bombarded with the worst smoke smell. Honestly smells like someone smoked cartons in there hours before we checked in. Our door didn’t lock properly and there was screaming/partying on the floor till 4am. The bathroom was beyond disgusting with hair/pubic hair all over the floor. Our sheets and towels were dirty/stained. The only positive is that we didn’t travel with our daughter this time, I couldn’t imagine having a child at this hotel.

Rooms are nasty house keeping do not clean rooms at all would not issue a refund so im telling everyone to stay away. Was there on 9/29/25 room 224. Room blood stans everywhere. House keeping do not clean nor change tissue. The over half used roll had blood stains on it. The bath towel and wash cloth was nasty from from guest before me using them. Room floors have not been mopped in months. AND THE ROACHES ARE SO BAD YOU CAN NOT SLEEP THEY WILL WAKE YOU UP. Told front desk and of course no refunds and no cares given.
