Mid-Town Motel of Bennington

Poor service by all staff. Highly underpaid efforts to those who maintenance the linens and it's 100% illegal the way they "hire" the hotel room(s) key holder. The pay is under the table aka not on the books. Therefore, it's technically a random person they allow to enter your room for whatever reason. (1½ year living experience).

My son and I were on a weekend college-visiting tour. We happened on the Mid-Town and took a chance. The proprietor was friendly, and the room was clean and dry. These are very important qualities in a motel. I believe in supporting local businesses, and am always happy to find places such the Mid-Town, providing a good honest service. Not a small thing. I would gladly return.

Super nice owners and smooth check in. Room was clean, except for a smashed cigarette butt on the floor by the bed. Room smelled very musty/moldy. One window would not close unless pushed from outside. Beds Very hard, uncomfortable and lower at the head than foot. Furnishings and bedding drab and outdated. Shelf in bathroom falling off wall. Good location- walking distance to downtown shops/restaurants. Again, the owners were Very cordial.

My wife and I were on a road trip and everything was booked except this motel. When checking in we could feel fleas jumping on our legs. We walked into the room that smelled of urine. I called another location and thank goodness they had a room available. We left the room and were promptly refunded and left. My advice stay away from this place. Front desk person was nice and helpful but the property needs a lot of work.

Although nearly half the price of competitors, I received a warm welcome rolling in around 1am after driving in pouring rain. The room was clean and comfortable. ||||Since it's a family run business and they weren't full, the charming couple who runs it actually let me sleep in a few extra hours past checkout time and didn't charge any extra. They even saved me some breakfast.
