This is my favorite place to stay when I am in the city when you factor everything into the equation. They don't have the best of anything rooms , amenities, location but the thing they do have is the best manager of a hotel in all of Texas . Mrs Mary she is one of the best people I have meant since I moved from Boston to texas 15 years ago. Mary bring everything together when you go to pay and it's at most 50 bucks on the weekend and either 40 or 45 on weekdays. Then you factor in your a 10 minute drive downtown. The rooms need alot of work, but it's cheap daily or weekly and there is always someone available at the window, Location is great for commuters of CapMetro. Most importantly it's a quiet place where you can get some decent sleep and no riff raff roaming after hours. I found it very safe.

The manager Mary is what makes this place what it is she is so on top of everything as well as being such a delight she definitely will have my business next time I need a room

I had the opportunity to live at Mehl's for 2 years...worst experience ever. I knew something was wrong from the beginning when you have to pay CASH ONLY....NO DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD at all. Have to have exact amount cash when payng. Secondly when it rains excessively.. room would flood ...go to bed with a dry floor and wake up next morning and need a yacht to get out the front door....there is a serious bedbug infestation.......a detrimental black mold issue....this is an extended stay establishment that is really not up to liveable conditions. Management is pathetic....The manager is rude.....evicts customers...not because of nonpayment or doing damage to the property....but because of her personal interaction with them.... I feel that this establishment needs to be shut down.....not up
