Customer Reviews
This was our family's first time camping and we had an incredible experience! Very quiet and peaceful, bathrooms had showers and were always clean and fully stocked, campsite was clean and had a firepit, picnic table, electric outlet and water. We brought our chocolate lab and she had a great time too. Trails were easily accessible and we went fishing. Staff was friendly and helpful for us first timers. We can't wait to go again!
Frequent visitor...cant recommend it enough. Beautiful place. First class campground. Lots of trails. Excellent staff. I'd stay longer than 14 day max, for sure.
Excellent place, nice and quiet and DARK at night! Love the proximity to the park/nature preserve (and Carowinds!) and the front office folks were very accommodating from the first day. We will definitely stay here next time we're in the area.
Close to Charlotte, 100% wooded, paved drive around roads, good campsite spacing, leveled tent/cookout area within your campsite. Parking spots smooth crushed gravel. Staff at front the best ever. Saw me coming, register book out, name, spot confirmed, go to site. A breeze. Cost for 2 was $40, cheaper also available. Can't beat it. Stayed 2 night. Showers hot and refreshing (wish u could adjust temp). Coin laundry so handy too. Best camping in years, you'll love it here!!
The camping experience is fine but bring your own twigs because you can’t burn what’s on the ground. Also, despite the pictures of sandy beaches you see, there is no place for swimming. You can only get in the water if you have a paddle board or boat.
