MainStay Suites Washington Dulles Airport

I stayed at the Mainstay Suites for a short trip and found it to be a practical option, especially for the price. It’s very much an extended-stay style property, so the in-room kitchenette is a real convenience if you’re looking to handle simple meals on your own. The building and rooms do show their age, and the overall feel is more lived-in than polished, but it delivers the basics reliably. Staff were courteous, and the location worked well for my needs. The included breakfast is coffee, hot water, oatmeal packets and Twinkies, so travelers who rely on that amenity may want to plan accordingly. This is your average motel/hotel. Has a funky smell in hallways but beds and rooms are clean and the shower is good. Bed was comfy. A nice cheaper alternative to the much more expensive other areas.

This hotel is a lot nicer with the remodel.i come here once a week for past 3 months. Clean rooms, love the kitchen and brighter lights. Could use larger TV.

Positive: There are nice eating restaurants and wallmart Negative: I didnt know i was supoose to put down the security deposit and I was charged extra for checking in late even tho their website was down and I couldn't use my gift card that I was given as a gift.

I loved the room . Coffee Maker would be nice in the room. The pop tarts were awful from the Vendong machine, need to check expiration dates. A thicker blanket and usb ports would be even better nicer . The parking permit situation was ridiculous. I totally disagree with putting room numbers on the permit. If someone likes your vehicle, all they have to do is walk into the hotel, go to the room , possibly injure someone or kill you, take keys and car. Why can’t you collect the car information at check in ? One clerk explained it was for the cops, another states that customers refused to give car information.
