MainStay Suites Sterling near Dulles Town Center

I want to start and say I’m not a “leave a review” person, but it would be a crime not to. A colleague and I were in town for work for about a month and decided to stay at this extended hotel before arrival. Upon arrival, I knew we had chosen the correct area. Area- There’s so much to accommodate your stay. In less than 2 minutes of drive time. There’s a shopping area, you have a grocery store “Giant”. There’s a taco spot “Taco Bamba” , a Panera Esq place “Paris Baguette”, dessert spot “Lil Cakes & Creamery” , I could go on and on. These were some of my favorite spots. I’m currently staying here as I type this. The people in lobby are really nice- it smells amazing out there & the lobby looks nice… however, I ordered a 2 bed, but got a handicapped room with 1 bed & 1 pull out for 4 people. If you’ve stayed here, you know this isn’t big enough for all of us. However, we made it work. We open the cupboard to our kitchen literally 2 minutes ago & out came crawling a cockroach! First off yuck! But, when we first got here; there was food still on our counter in the kitchen (hard toast), there was cherry seeds on the floor next to the door & sunflower seeds all over the bathroom floor. Not to mention because we have a handicapped room, which someone else could have used if they actually needed it- the bathroom floor gets soaked from showering due to no bottom

Great rooms and staff. The newly renovated rooms make the hotel look brand new. Very convenient to (within walking distance) to several restaurants in the Cascades shopping center and a grocery store in the adjacent shopping center.

I have been staying at MainStay Suites for about a year now, and my experience has been nothing but positive. The staff are always friendly and professional, and the manager, Reggie Williams, truly stands out. He’s kind, approachable, and always willing to help whenever I need assistance. His genuine care for the guests makes this place feel like home rather than just a hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the environment is peaceful and safe. I truly appreciate the hospitality and consistency from the entire team. Highly recommend MainStay Suites for both short and long stays!

I've been here an hour and already wishing I'd booked somewhere else. The front desk staff is EXTREMELY RUDE!! The room has roaches and doesn't have towels, or clean sheets, and clean blankets for the fold out sofa. When I asked I was told they're in the room. When I tried to tell her I looked already I was given a nasty look and told to look again. I sent my friend back to get them so I dont loose it. I've never been treated so poorly! I've been treated better at Red Roof Inns!!! So before you book here at this location, make sure you exhaust all other options!!
