Hampton Inn Dulles/Cascades

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms are cozy, clean, and equipped with all the essentials a business traveller would need. The staff is courteous and well-behaved. The location is excellent — just a short walk to several restaurants, eateries, and a supermarket, which made things very convenient. Breakfast was a real highlight, freshly made, very tasty, and accompanied by good coffee that’s also available throughout the day. The fitness center is on the smaller side, with only a few cardio machines, but it’s still useful if you want to get a light workout in. Overall, a great place to stay whether for business or leisure. Highly recommended!

Positive: Nice and clean Negative: One elevator out and I was given a room on the sixth floor so we had to wait a bit for elevator, dark outside the hotel when we left at 645am, no outside lights were working in front of the hotel.

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice thus far and I’ve had a generally good experience both times. The free breakfast and free parking mean you don’t have to worry about these costs. Hotel prices in the DC area are so outrageous you don’t need to worry so much about so many added costs to your bill. The first time I stayed in an executive king in August 2024 and the second time was in May 2025 in a 2 queen room. I preferred the executive king because of the wet bar and generally larger floor space. I was able to receive packages at the hotel with ease and the parking lot is large so you don’t need to worry about where you’re going to park if you come back late in the evening. Hidden gem! Lovely hotel service! Staff is friendly, respectful and accommodating. Room is clean, bed is comfortable, diligent staff, heated indoor pool, free breakfast that has multiple options and eggs/sides change daily, basic/small convenience shop (drinks, snacks and adult beverages), 24/7 front desk, shuttle, walking distance about 1/2 mile to shopping center, basketball court and festive lobby (currently holiday season) and quiet. I had a basic room with a king bed, sofa that is a pull out bed, fridge and microwave. No freezer but ice machine near elevator. Standard Wi-Fi plus computers with a printer in lobby area. I am genuinely confused at how this hotel was able to achieve a 4.3 star rating, I suspect they must have bought fake reviews or something. The location is not great, a little far from the hotel and the shuttle is often late. The biggest issue though is that the shower only has lukewarm water, when we asked, they sent someone to look who just turned on the water felt it, checked the sink and said oh the sink has hot water, acknowledged the shower was borderline cold and then left. After my 20 hour flight, the bare minimum was a hot shower, but I didn't expect a high rated hotel in the capital of the United States would be unable to provide a service that even most third world countries can easily supply.
