This property is being falsely advertised as a 4-star hotel, yet it fails to meet even the most basic hospitality standards. The experience and the property itself are barely at a 2-star level. My experience included several unacceptable issues: - Widespread Service Issues: During my check-in, I observed numerous other guests complaining to the staff about various problems. It was clear that my experience was not an isolated incident, but a reflection of a poorly managed property. - Severe Understaffing: There were only two employees at the reception desk to handle all guest needs. This led to extremely poor, slow, and unprofessional service. - Disregard for Specific Requests: I explicitly requested a room away from the elevator. Despite this, I was placed in a room directly in front of th

We stayed at Magnolia Dallas Downtown during our Texas road trip and had a very comfortable stay. The room was impressively spacious and the kitchenette was a great extra, especially if you’re staying for a few nights. The location in downtown Dallas is excellent. It’s within walking distance of Dealey Plaza and Reunion Tower, and even a walk to Deep Ellum is perfectly doable. The historic character of the building combined with the comfort of the rooms makes it a solid base for exploring the city. A practical and comfortable choice for anyone wanting to discover Dallas from a central location.

If your looking for a quiet, comfy luxurious retreat at a home away from home, is NOT it!! worse hotel stay ever. Upon arriving we learned the hotel offered no guest parking, the only thing available was Hotel valet service at the $48.50 per day!! price gouging at its best. The hotel is extremely outdated and decorated in dreary colors. The beds were as hard as a rock with undersized pillows and very little bedding. After complaining about our bed and room cleanliness we were graciously up graded to a bit nicer room, but unfortunately it wasn't that much better. We still had to deal with a rock hard mattress but also this time the thermostat was stuck on cold and the tub barely drained so during every shower we we waded in ankle deep luke warm water. We were so disappointed overall for suc

Mandatory single valet charge of $54. I didn’t have an issue with the charge, I have an issue when I’m walking back from Starbucks at 6am and I see the headlights on with someone inside. It was valet “taking my car to the off site garage a few blocks away.” I understand there are only like 10 spaces to park next to the building, but when half of them are empty at 6am and the owner isn’t notified to this first. Had it been two seconds later, I would have walked by to see my car gone and thought it was stolen. They literally asked for my number at the little valet booth during check in, seems sensible there’s a reason for this. This incident made it hard to keep overlooking the outdated room/appliances. If the company can’t be bothered to offer any sort of onsite food, put an ice machine o

A beautiful place full of Texas history! This hotel has been well kept for over 103 years. The elevator was beautiful with historical design mixing the modern world without affecting the charm of Dallas. Also the elevator was faster than most newer hotels. The beds are comfortable and the room is cozy with large windows to over look the Dallas skyline. The tubs are oversized with great water temperature and pressure. The valet was super helpful with the traffic a must! We enjoyed the flying horse Cafe for breakfast and it was a great view of the city center.
