Lynchburg Grand Hotel

Over all ,this is and older hotel, but it appears to be taken care of, the rugs in the halls were nice and clean. Getting into the room was a problem, you had to put the room key into the slot many times before you would get a green light to enter. This was every time you went into the room. It took 10-15 minutes for the shower water to get warm/hot, every time.I purchased a king size bed but was put in a room with two double beds. They claimed that all the king size were booked. I showed them my confirmation of a king size being booked but they said there was nothing they could do since no king size beds were available. The price was very reasonable

Going in, I was expecting this hotel to be a bit sketchy (based on reviews), and here's what I found: First, the good: Everyone that worked there was lovely. Very friendly, helpful, and kind. The room was very spacious (we got the King Suite City View), and it was nice and warm! (It was freezing outside.) I thought the bed was very comfortable, and the room was nice and quiet. Also, the location is great!! And the price was wonderful. For those reasons, it was a great place to stay, especially if you aren't too fussy. Now, the not good: The worst thing about our stay was that the wifi didn't work in the room. It just would not connect, and when I called the front desk, the very nice man told me that our room was in a "dead zone." We were already settled into our room and were

I am currently staying here for the week. I don’t have the energy or time to change hotels because of work. Kayla at the front desk is amazing! The room is pretty bad. AC doesn’t work so it’s like a sauna in here. Only get like 5 channels on the TV. Shower/tub drain is clogged. Carpet is stained (badly). Exhaust vent in bathroom has about 20 years of dust in it. The “city view” is just a view of other older buildings. I’ll update if the bed bugs bite!! (Beds seem new so, jk) I understand they are getting ready to renovate but at this point just shut down. Place has great potential!! Just falling short right now. Hence new ownership.

Positive: The staff was great! I arrived later than expected and it was not a problem. The over night staff, a gentleman was very helpful, professional, courteous.The house keepers were super nice, the staff assistant help me with my luggage cart. Negative: No

The hotel is getting ready to get a renovation, which it needs, but it's comfortable. The staff makes all the difference. Everyone we have encountered in our short visit has so nice! It makes all the difference. Kayla and Nathan at the front desk and all of the staff who worked the Saturday night event we attended were polite, sweet and friendly. Thank you so much! We look forward to seeing the hotel after the renovation.
