Lutsen Mountains

What a brilliant surprise. Excellent lift system, snow was groomed superbly and staff great. Midweek skiing was incredible with no queues and a short walk from car to the lifts. Advanced terrain is limited but you can have great fun, and focus on technique or just have a blast. Gorgeous views and a breath of fresh air compared to somewhere like Colorado. Give it a try.

My #1 recommendation whenever people ask about reasonable to access ski resorts out of the prairies. Lutsen provides the friendly Minnesota charm with the feeling of being at Colorado ski resort! Can't think of any other way to praise the level of professionalism they take here!

We booked the Signature Gondola Experience at Lutsen Mountains to take in the fall colors, and it was such a fun way to spend a crisp autumn day! The experience included priority boarding, delicious cookies and bottled water, plus a free drink ticket to use once you reach the top. Such a nice touch that made the ride feel extra special. Even though the fall colors were just past peak, the views were still absolutely beautiful. The view of Lake Superior and the rolling hills made for an unforgettable ride. I’ll definitely be back next year; hopefully right at peak color to catch the vibrant red colors in all their glory. A must-do North Shore experience!

Always enjoyable! Hoarfrost on Weds., Th, plus F due to massive amount of fog (worse Weds., better Th; mild rain F afternoon; yet sking was yet good).

We stayed one whole week (2 adults, 1 kid) in the 'Eagle Ridge' lodging facility, located on ski hill way, basically right smack in the middle of the resorts Eagle mountain! The dates where 12-26-25/1-2-26 so we got to bring in the new year at lutzen! At first I thought we had a bad location in building d but I quickly realized we were very close to the slopes! Less than 1 min and I could be riding down to the raptor chair lift. Fireworks for new years eve and heated outdoor hot tub and pool every night to sooth sore muscles! The view was great, I spend lots of time on the back patio, watching them Groom the snow at night!
