Koeneke Shoredge Resort

We travel for work and have stayed at a lot of places. With that said staying here isn’t just a place to stay- it’s an experience. Diane and Fred are very blessed to have a place like this and choose to share it with the world. It’s a very magical place and I’m sure it has lots of stories. We stayed in Slabsides and the rest of our family stayed in the next cabin over so worked out great. The cabin has everything you need except a shower. You can shower in your neighbor’s cabin if you’re all together or at the lodge. Wasn’t a big deal at all as we would just walk up to the lodge and get a shower and go about our day. The location is stellar in so many ways. From the water’s edge to being close to Grand Marais and plenty of other stuff to do like the resort up the road where we did the alpi

We had a great stay in Slabsides! Diane was super friendly and helpful. The cabin was very clean, comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. What an awesome view! I can see why both of our cabin neighbors have been coming back for 20 years. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect place to relax and enjoy life. has everything you'll need and then some. beds are comfortable nice to fall asleep to the waves hitting the shore right next to you. Our cabin had a great view of the lake I heavily reccomend staying here you will not regret it.

A small, wonderfully quaint resort…quiet & peaceful. Perched right above the shoreline with steps down to the rocky beach.
