Do NOT stay here!! I would give zero if I could. We called 6 weeks in advance to book a cabin. Gave our credit card information to hold the cabin. Was told by the owner that if we don't show up he would just charge our credit card. He did not give us a confirmation number said he does things old school but he has us down for cabin #4. He told us he just got out of the hospital 2 days ago. When we got to Janssen's Lodestone Motel and Cabins the owner had rented cabin #4 to someone else. Gave us the same story of just got out of the hospital 2 days ago. It is Labor day weekend and everything else is booked now. He looked through 3 different papers calendars all with different information on them. He ended up putting us in 2 different rooms for double the price of what the cabin wa

Do NOT stay here! I would give a zero if I could. We called and booked a cabin 6 weeks in advance for 5 people. Talked to the owner of the cabins on the phone and booked cabin #4 for Labor Day weekend. At the time of the call the owner told us that he had just got out of the hospital 2 days ago. We got that same story when we showed up for the cabin we booked 6 week ago. That was rented to someone else. He could not find that we had booked a cabin with him. He went through 3 different paper calendars all with different information on them and was not sure about anything. We ended up staying in 2 rooms for double what we were told on the phone. Because it was Labor Day weekend and everything else was now booked. But the story gets better. That night at 11:00 pm a single dad

Great lodging! Friendly owners! |Our family of four stayed in cabin 2 for 3 nights and it was the perfect spot for us. The cabin had 3 beds, which was just right. The bathroom was a good size, shower pressure excellent. Having a kitchen was a bonus, we cooked breakfast daily. The area is small, but has everything you need for your stay. There’s also a grill outside which we used one evening, too. The porch had a swing and table with chairs to enjoy the outdoors. |The Lodestone is just outside of Hill City, close to everything touristy. Lastly, the price was decent, too!

DO NOT DO THIS !!! Horrible experience we called to reserve Cabin 4 for family vacation on Labor Day weekend 6 weeks before. We arrive to find out he doesn't have a room for us expect in 2 rooms for double the price. It being labor day weekend everything else was booked. At 11pm on 1st night a single dad and 3 kids came into my sister's room as owner double booked the room. This coward then hid the remainder of time we was there. He did not apologize or try and make it right as a owner he should have given us the rooms at the same price that was quoted. The customer shouldn't be punished for his incompetence of is scheduling. He also made the commit that if we didn't like it we could leave but we had NO where else to go everything was booked. We had been on the road for 2 days to get there

Loved our stay here. Very nice cabins. Had everything we needed. The couple that run it are very friendly and helpful. Loved the dog to. Our stay was amazing. If I could give 6 stars I would. Will be back next year for sure.
