Lakeside Motel

What went well: - Check in was easy as the door to our hotel was unlocked with the key inside and we got instructions for checking in via text - The manager was responsive via text - The room was clean - Seems like a safe area - Very walkable to Buena Vista downtown - There was a TV and mini fridge What didn't go well: - The building is very old and isn't updated at all when it comes to plumbing or heating. The heating comes from a "radiant baseboard" which took a VERY long time to warm up (like an hour+) and made a LOT of noise throughout the night even when we had turned it off, which made it impossible to get good sleep. - The walls are paper thin and there is so much noise from other people that you can hear. We stayed at the Lakeside Motel during our recent visit to Buena Vista, Colorado. Our stay exceeded our expectations. Location was perfect, unit was clean, comfortable and great floor plan. We stayed in unit #9. But, most of all the staff were the best! They all went above and beyond to make our stay the best. If, or when we return to Buena Vista we will be staying here again! A really sweet motel and a great value. Room was super clean and had everything we needed, including a mini fridge and microwave. It was off the main highway and right next to a park, so nice and quiet, but it was still just 2 blocks to Main Street. Management was really helpful. I’ve never left a google review on lodging, but this place was such a pleasant surprise. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

We didn’t see management at any point during our visit. They texted me that the room was ready and key was in it. Office was closed when we arrived. The next morning I went to the office seeking a hair dryer, but again the office was closed. It was the highest priced motel we stayed at during our week-long stay in Colorado. ($170- we stayed at 5 different motels.) But it was clean.

Very nice little motel. Extremely clean, small but comfortable rooms. Perfectly located in walking distance to a lot of restaurants. Only downside is the none existent AC. But they provided an extra fan and it’s unusual warm at the moment.
