Came by for canoe rentals. Didn't stay for lodging. Has everything you need for your trip. The owner and his wife were very helpful with giving guidance on what route to take. Also the outdoor bathroom was really clean, which I greatly appreciate. I think it'd be helpful to have an optional video on basic canoeing/portaging. We watched a few YouTube videos before coming but still had a lot of figuring out on the water.

I participated in two Boy Scout treks on BWCAW with my sons. I knew my wife would absolutely love the wilderness there and wanted to give her a chance to experience it. I called and talked to several outfitters and chose LaTourell’s which coincidentally right next to the Scout base. Bob and his wife were super helpful and friendly before we arrived and especially while we were on the property. They asked all the right questions about what we wanted to accomplish and helped us make the right choices. It is great to support a family owned business that has been in the family for so long. What a wonderful family-owned place. They have a love of the BWCA, and it shows. Just modern enough for comfort. The staff have superior local knowledge of the area, as many have lived and grown up there.

My wife and I used LaTourell's Outfitters for our first trip to the Boundary Waters. They were easy to deal with, prompt in replying to questions, and very accommodating. We opted to have our canoe shuttled to a portage point five miles up the lake and we're happy we did. At the conclusion of our trip we each paid $6.00 for a hot shower that included a fresh towel. It was wonderful! We would use their services again. Note: LaTourell's is walking distance to public parking, which we utilized for the week while canoeing the lakes

Our rental gear and canoes were in excellent shape and the bunkhouse we stayed in was perfect for the night before our trip! They had tons of gear and extras in the shop for anything else we needed. Great service, and right next to the entry point. We'll be back for future Moose Lake trips!
