La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tampa Bay Area-Tampa South

Wonderful stay. As I turned to the corner I questioned whether this was a safe location (single female traveling alone) because it’s on a crowded/busy street that seems older but my thoughts were quickly eliminated once I walked in the lobby. A gentleman named Wafi greeted me warmly and got me quickly checked in. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and attentive. I’m sensitive to smells and have hesitations walking on hotel room floors barefoot but not here. The place was spotless and comfortable. The absolute only thing I would change is I would ask for a second blanket or comforter because that’s just personal preference. Location ended up being great and convenient to be to St. Pete or any of the highways.

The room was dirty, had gray hair on the towel and some hair on the bed, then the walls looked like they had water damage on them. One of the doors had a couple big holes in it. Overall the room needs better cleaning and some repairs. Service was good and breakfast was decent though. The price of our room was very low but we saw a lot of positive reviews so we were expecting better. Wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel is overpriced the location is okay. You will be charged a tourism development tax charge of $7.14 per night, even though your form of ID has Florida on it. How am I a Tourist in Florida visiting a Florida hotel? It's not like this hotel provides ANYTHING for tourist. They will charge you a $100.00 deposit, that will be refunded back to you after a week or so. The first night I was here, there was a homeless person going through the halls knocking on doors and being very loud and belligerent. The pool was ice cold and full of leafs and other trash. My bed was extremely hard,even though the sheets, pillows, and blankets we're clean. The bathroom itself was clean and it came very accommodating with shampoo, conditioner, as well as body wash plenty of towels. But the room floor was

Had stayed at the hotel during my recent trip to Tampa . The hotel is close to Tampa Airport and downtown Tampa , Clearwater and St Pete. |The room prices were affordable and the room is clean and beds are comfortable. The Staff is pleasant especially the day shift crew . The housekeeping staff had done an amazing job during my stay . |The pool is clean and breakfast was nice . Definitely gonna stay again
