The hotel has been and continues to undergo renovations; rooms and hotel in general. The renovated rooms are nice; the refresh is good. The morning breakfast was an unexpected treat (was good but can use more options with bread). What I didn't like was the management of the hotel refuses to honor the rate (Friday night) that was advertised and promoted by my Alma Mater' Alumni Association. Rate advertised was $143.40 however they charged $174.50. This was brought to the attention of management by multiple alumni however the management has refused to honor the $143.50 rate. Despite the hotel staff being very nice and accommodating, I will encourage others to not stay at this hotel if the advertised rate isn't honored. The management of this hotel obviously doesn't appreciate or respect some
I had the pleasure of visiting this hotel on 11/21/2025. First i would have to say is that the hotel decor is top tier, very warming, very inviting, very chic. All of the staff were pleasant. I ordered from the bar. I meant A black gentleman who was working the day shift that day ( cannot remember his name lol) he was funny, delightful, knowledgeable of his menu. He made me feel like i was In my own home. I met the new bartender, his drinks were amazing, and so was his personality.
If you want an overpriced, crappy hotel with bad food and a rude desk clerk, this one is for you. I know the hotel was under construction, so that was not the problem. Everything else was. The hallway was inexplicably cold, like in the 50s cold. The room air conditioner was loud. The bathroom was a mess, with sloppy paint, chipped tiles, and gaps in the grout. The one switch in the bathroom ran both the lights and fan, which was also really loud. Overall, it was just uncomfortable. And this was after the renovation! I do have to say, the employees were very pleasant, until checkout. When I had a question about redeeming points, the clerk accused me of arguing with her. I couldn't even complete a sentence. Then she walked away and left me standing there while she mumbled under her breath
Where to begin? Stingy with towels. The refrigerator door was broken as was the cabinet it went in. The microwave didn’t work because the rotating plate was the wrong size. Waited fifteen minutes for the elevator and reported it to staff, one of which showed us that there was another one, you just couldn’t see it behind a construction wall. No apology, actually she never said a word. And no one could be bothered to put up a sign letting you know. Accosted for money in the parking lot. You have to walk a gauntlet of smokers to get in. The parking lot was full one night and staff didn’t have a place for me to go to. It was sometimes hard to tell if it was staff or random homeless people in the lobby. No uniforms, just whatever black T-shirt they woke up in that morning. But, the
The hotel was under renovation so it was a bit disheveled but from what I've seen they accomplished it looked amazing it will look five stars when they are done. The only downfall was the lights were flickering and the elevators smelled like there was something burning make me a little nervous to ride up and down them. The breakfast served in the morning was a little sad the eggs tasted like they added some other ingredients to them did not taste like eggs at all the fruit was very old the apples were so mealy it just turned to applesauce when I took a bite but the service was amazing front desk was so polite and energetic and very happy to see me everyone seemed to be in wonderful moods
