Courtyard by Marriott Salisbury

I want to give a massive shout-out to Berlin at the front desk. I made a classic traveler's mistake and accidentally booked this Maryland location while I was actually in Salisbury, North Carolina! I realized the error within minutes and called the hotel in a panic. Even though it was a last-minute booking, Berlin was incredibly kind, professional, and understanding. She processed the cancellation without penalty and completely lowered my stress level. It is rare to find such helpful and compassionate service these days. While I didn't get to stay this time, Berlin’s help ensures that I will definitely choose Marriott for my future travels. Thank you, Berlin!

We had a 1 night stay with 4 rooms and wanted to be connected or on the same floor, upon arrival, we were on different floors and not close to each other. Jennifer, at the front desk, was excellent. She understood what we needed and arranged the rooms so that we were close to each other on the same floor. Once we got to our rooms, one of them had a service issue that was not resolved totally. We did agree to a workaround. It took some time to arrange but Jennifer (and the engineer) made sure I was compensated for the extra time and inconvenience. Would stay here again!

Positive: Cleanliness and the staff... Negative: Could hear loud talking and thumping from both sides and one was an adjoining room.

Unacceptable Experience – Unsafe Room & Disrespectful Staff I had an extremely disappointing and unsettling experience at this Marriott Courtyard. Upon arriving at my room around 8 PM, I found the door propped open with the locking mechanism. Inside, drawers, cabinets, and the closet were all left open. With people running through the halls, this made me feel unsafe and deeply uncomfortable. When I reported this to the front desk, the associate was dismissive and unprofessional—referring to me as “girl” and refusing to provide her name when I asked to speak with a manager. She informed me that all managers were on vacation and offered points only after I insisted on speaking to someone in charge. Her attitude was rude and condescending throughout the interaction. Unfortunately my review of our stay at this hotel will be a bit jaded. We had our car broken into during our one night at this hotel. We were not advised of this until we happened to find it ourselves first when we left to head home. Apparently four cars were broken into. Two cars were broken into in the adjacent hotel. The manager was out of town and the assistant manager was as helpful as he could be in this situation.. however, it took many days for us to hear from Marriott's insurance adjuster only to learn that they are not liable in any way for this. The handling of the situation was very slow and not thorough.
