La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Elizabethtown

My husband and I traveled to Kentucky to attend our nieces birthday party and visit family. We checked in smoothly had no issues at all. We checked the bed like we always do at every hotel we have ever stayed at. Everything looked clean. We went to bed that night not thinking anything of it. My husband was woke up at 3am feeling like he was getting bit. He turned the lights on and we both jumped out of bed His shoulder was covered in bites and welting up. We checked the bed yet again didn’t see anything then he pulled the blanket back further and there was the culprit- a bedbug. He killed it, we got dressed and immediately checked out. They didn’t question it and gave us a full refund which tells me they knew about the problem and still rented us the room. Thankfully we didn’t unpack anyth

Nice hotel overall. Stay on the top floor if you don't want to hear the people walking above you. If your short like me 5 ft bring a stool in get into bed LOL the king was so high off the floor.

NOT a 3 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination! Very few guests due to weather, drive was barely plowed. Staff was less than friendly, front desk said only one person working on the property. No sheets available for couch (which is too small for a normal-sized adult body), front desk wouldn’t deliver to 2nd floor room for my 81 year old mother. TV didn’t work so had to change rooms. Walls paper thin. Had to fix toilet ourselves because wouldn’t flush. Automatic front door to hotel was inoperative, had to pull open manually. Pool was not open. Not only will we not stay at this property again, we won’t be staying at any LaQuinta ever again. Guest checking out before us reported similar problems. Reported all of this to corporate as well.

We stayed two weeks ago and only needed one night as a last minute thing. The gal up front was pleasant, we do have a service dog. It did smell when you walked in but I tried three others in the area that were worse. The room was clean, there was damage on the dresser that was not caused by my service animal. The next morning the gal was also pleasant. There isn't a lot of parking unless you want to park behind the hotel and walk all the way around. Traveling with daughter, felt safe. Good for the night we stayed, bed wasn't comfortable but you know.

Positive: They had a great breakfast and with the price it was okay but the stuff should be more nice they should talk with smile. Thanks Negative: Hotel can add some free snacks all time.
