La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dallas - Las Colinas

Was in town for 2 weeks for work. Made this La Quinta my hotel for the time. Very clean hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The gym has everything you need to get your workouts in. The breakfast is good as well. The room is good size and updated. Beds are comfy. Will be my usual hotel whenever I am on the DFW in the future. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the water pressure in the shower isn’t that good and the hot water was spotty. Some days it was just warm. I like to take really hot showers.

Positive: Felt safe, well lit, plenty of parking, pool was open late, very quiet, great water pressure & temp in shower, ice machine worked, a/c worked well. Breakfast was decent. Negative: Pillows are flat & terrible. One of our rooms was very humid & smelled musty. You could tell in the restroom they keep painting over mold instead of fixing it. The other room we had was not like this at all. Carpet needs professionally cleaning.

I should have read the other reviews. even though it's very nice and modern, there are a lot of problems with this place. The Wi-Fi on the second floor is terrible and never really connects. my cell phone didn't work due to signal loss. there was no hot water at all during the morning when housekeeping was washing clothes. maintenance never showed up the one day I was there to check the boiler. when it did come on, it wasn't very hot later that night. the "breakfast" was pathetic. They have an 11:00 a.m. check out and they charge $25 for any late checkouts or early check-ins. The heat in the room was great. it was a large room very nice. Good service in an excellent location in Las Colinas, but missing too many important amenities for me to ever come back.

This hotel has a lot to improve. When you walk into the lobby, there’s a bad smell—like wet carpet. The breakfast, compared to other La Quinta hotels, doesn’t have much variety. It has the basics, but in other La Quinta hotels, there’s a wider selection of breads and muffins, and you can find things like croissants and bagels, as well as Nutella and cream cheese. Here, you won’t find any of that—just regular and multigrain sliced bread. The juices come from a machine and taste awful. The furniture (sofa bed) in the room was stained and torn. There were also stains on the bedding. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and clean, although we did find some trash next to the sofa. The front desk staff is arrogant. Nice hotel for the price(cheaper than others) rooms are really nice and microwave and refrigerator is clutch. Only reason i gave it 4 stars is because the bathtub needs to be replaced or deep clean. The bathroom smell makes you want to bring a candle. Location is great, its not too far from the airport and highways and parkways are 5 mins away in any direction.
