La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Cleburne

Not terrible but could certainly use improvements. The staff was lovely (Tracy at the front desk was awesome). The room was accommodating however the closet door would close and the mattress was hard and almost felt like a spring was in the middle. The continental breakfast…terrible! Pretty much non-existent. Cheap tiny styrofoam cups for coffee. They could do much better.

The room was clean and that's where it ends. The beds felt like rocks slept a good 4hrs before I woke up with lower back pain from how stiff the mattress is. The television is so small. The shower had decent water pressure so that is a plus. I'm pretty sure there was MOLD in top corner of the bathroom as well.

The guy that checked us in last night was very friendly and helpful. The room was disappointing though. We thought this hotel looked nicer than some of the others. We came for business but probably will not stay again for the price/cleanliness. Towels are old and not very white. Bleach is a necessity regarding hotel linens. The pillows are FLAT. The elevator is beyond dirty and the breakfast was pretty sad and I went down early. They definitely need to put a little TLC into it.

Positive: easy check in and out, decent breakfast, tub and shower available. fridge and microwave. A/C worked really well. Negative: Locked out of room while trying to take stuff to the car. Had to have keys recalibrated to finish loading up. No coffee pot. Pillows pretty flat and fell behind the bed easily. Down button on elevator broken and hanging by wires, seemed unsafe.

Overall 3 stars because I didn’t see bugs, anything else is manageable!! Rooms 2 stars because the beds aren’t very comfortable but better than sleeping in the car, the bedding is that classic white that isn’t even white, idk why hotels don’t quit with the white. The flooring isn’t best but it’s newer, the housekeepers use fabuloso and that is not cleanly imo. Service 3 stars bc the guy in the a.m. is nice and helpful but lady in the evening seems to be inconvenienced by you asking/needing anything. Location 3 stars bc it’s nearest to Main Street which is only close to fast food.
