La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Birmingham Hoover

We were looking for a nice, affordable pet-friendly hotel in the Birmingham area on our way to Florida and this place was perfect. The other hotels we searched for in Birmingham at this price point had different icky factors (including lots of bug pics) so we were hoping this would be decent. It was more than decent, it was a newer construction, clean, comfortable, safe (multiple security cameras in the parking lot and inside). A Hoover police officer even patrolled the parking lot. The rooms are stylish and spacious. It's technically a 2-star hotel but it felt like we got a 3-srar hotel at a 2-star price (we saved at least $50 compared to all other options). My experience at the LaQuinta Inn & Suites was pretty standard for this type of hotel. The check-in process was quick, and the front desk staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly — which made my stay relaxing. The complimentary breakfast offered a decent variety with options like waffles, cereal, eggs, and fruit. The coffee was fresh, and the dining area stayed well maintained throughout the morning. Positive: Great Location Negative: I found long black hairs on the sheets and blood on the shower curtain. The breakfast was very average. It was free so what can you expect but I've had much better at similar hotels.

I travel fairly often and trust me a few times my work has booked some less than desirable hotels..... often I wonder if you can believe all the reviews because a lot are only stars no "actual review" . My room was right outside the hotels small pool... I didn't use the pool but it looked nice... This La Quinta was nice. Check In took a bit...but the clerk seemed very friendly. The Room was clean, towels were nice ...the bathroom looked updated... It was about a 20 minute drive to the airport. I Would stay here again.

This past week my family and I had to travel for family engagement and our holiday vacation. We always have chosen this location for many many years. Not only because of the location, but because of the staff and quality of the rooms. We have never had any problems or issues and it feels good to have my family in a safe place. When we checked out my son left his gaming device and games in our room. Which we didn't realize until we were 500 miles away. I know we live in a crazy world, but I just kept hope and faith it would be found. Not only was it found, after several attempts on my part that failed.
