La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Austin Near the Domain

I stayed here for a week due to my husband being in the ICU at St Davids near by. The room was not great, but it fit the need (bed and shower). The external doors that were always supposed to be locked were only locked once in that whole week! You have to request housekeeping. The lobby is nice, but the air units in the room are loud and you can hear everything in the hallways and neighboring rooms. Peeled wallpaper, run down facility... but it was tolerable considering my situation. After a few days the heat quit working in my room. I called the front desk and explained the problem and that I needed to extend as well as the heat problem. I was rudely told I would need to check out and book a new reservation online. My experience at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Austin Near the Domain was just acceptable. The location and price were the main reasons I chose this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was decent for the rate.||||The biggest downside was the internet connection. It was weak, slow, and unreliable. I didn’t have many calls during this stay, so I was able to manage — but if I had needed to take more meetings or work online consistently, it would have been a serious issue. For business travelers, this could easily be a deal-breaker. If that had been my case, I definitely wouldn’t return.||||The second issue was the fitness center. Positive: "" Negative: The WiFi signal is not strong at all. Even when you do connect to the network it is so slow you cannot get anything done. It is an unsecured, open network and not ideal for getting work done. Not even to check your emails. It was very frustrating.

I honestly wouldn’t stay here again. The rooms are old not charming old, just worn down. They were doable if you absolutely need a place to sleep, but that’s about it. Definitely not what I expected. The only good thing about this hotel is the location near The Domain Austin. Everything else was bad. Staff was extremely rude and monotone, like they didn’t care at all. Checkout was the worst part a lady named Diamond was especially rude and dismissive, which left a really bad final impression. Overall: outdated rooms, poor service, and zero hospitality. You’re paying for location nothing more. I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

I booked a last minute stay for my puppy and I. We were given a super cute room right off of the poolside courtyard with a back door, this was great for our walks. And the customer service was great! I would stay here again when in town. Great location close to pfluggerville where I was visiting with family but great location with a lot to do in my free time.
