La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Tampa Near Busch Gardens

The list is very very long. The front desk manager, ‘A’ was rude. I didn’t appreciate her rolling her eyes and giving me attitude when I was describing all the issues with the room and said we were checking out after being there only a few hours. (We checked in at 230am and out at 630am..) We travel all over the country and the world for work and I have rarely stayed at any place so disgusting. The common area hallways obviously hadn’t been vacuumed in quite some time and the carpets were grungy, black with grime, and thread bear in spots. There was dirt, food grunge on the walls, and there was miss matched paint everywhere. Rusty hinges and other metal finishes. Honestly for the price I paid I couldn’t ask for more! The room was clean and modern, the parking was free, location was right next to the park, no loud cars at night, great and friendly staff, and free breakfast! Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here for 2 days with my husband, and overall—solid choice with a few quirks. The place was clean, which I appreciate… although the floors were a little sticky, like they’d been wiped down with enthusiasm but maybe not rinsed properly. Socks were mildly offended. 🧦😅 The employees? Super friendly. Everyone we interacted with was welcoming and helpful, which honestly goes a long way. Breakfast is offered from 7–10am. Don’t come expecting gourmet or a five-star brunch moment—this is very much a “grab something so you’re not starving” situation. But hey, free breakfast is still better than no breakfast. ☕🥯 Parking was easy, with plenty of space—especially in the back, which is clutch if you’re on the second floor and don’t feel like hauling luggage across the property. Location is a win.

The rooms are clean spacious and the beds are pretty comfortable. The Continental breakfast was better than I expected. The staff is friendly and helpful. My only real complaint is that I didn't have a coffee maker in the room. I did have a fridge and microwave, but the lack of a coffee maker was a bit of a surprise. It's not a big problem, I'll probably stay again at some point. I didn't go to Busch Gardens, but being just across the street makes it an ideal location if you're planning on going to the park. It's so close you can occasionally hear the people on the rollercoasters screaming when they go over a drop 😆. Overall a great place to stay.

My husband was a bit hesitant to book this place when read the bad reviews. But, our experience was completely different. We might get a renovated room, everything looks modern. The room was quiet and dark (good job for the double window cover!) The workers were nice. Moreover, the location is perfect if you want to visit Busch Gardens. We walked from the hotel, so no need to pay additional parking. It’s a pleasant experience.
