We loved our stay at Kate’s Fish Camp and would absolutely stay again. It is a small campground with water and electricity at each site. There is no dump station, but there is one bathroom and one outdoor shower. There is a Loves Truckstop about 10 minutes away with an ok dump station. The outdoor shower was clean, had great water pressure, and would get delightfully hot. Kate’s is surrounded by nature. On one side of the campground is Newnans Lake and the other is a state park with an awesome paved trail (great for bikes or walking the pooches). It is also close to Gainesville and you can easily get picked up by an Uber.

The people here are really nice and pleasant. Got some free samples of soap to try from the lady in the office/store. It's a very small campground not many sites but right off a trail to the state park. We saw a big gator at the campground and lots of adorable kitties 😻 we are a family of 7 and stayed 2 nights. No sewer hookups. We used their bathroom and paper plates so barely left with anything in the tank. We have a 35ft n some inches camper. We just say 36ft. I would not recommend anything larger. We scrapped our jacks at the back getting into and out of the campground. So be careful coming in if your long like us. This was the only issue we had while here.

Very nice, small family run campground, right in the middle of a state wilderness area, so no commercial property or houses nearby. Has a trail to the bike path and lake. Right off paved road and I had no problem getting in and out with my 45 foot coach. Lots of trees with beautiful Spanish moss in them. Water and electric hookups, no dump station, but the Love's Truck Stop a few miles away is convenient. They have about a dozen sites that are close together, but the setting is like a postcard with all the mature cypress trees and Spanish moss in them. This is a beautiful little throwback to what camping would have been like in the early days, so if you like retro and personality, Kate's Fish Camp has it. About 100 years ago it started out as a little store, bar, and fishing camp and is

We stayed one night in our van. Small campground with RV sites and tent sites. Monica and Mike are nice and professional the owners. Campground located next to a creek which connects to Newnans Lake (apparently they offers canoes to use). Pretty rustic and very basic campground, no frills. One inside toilet and sink and one outdoor shower. Campground connects to the Gainesville-Hawthorne rails to trails (check it out if you have bikes or go for a walk or run!) via an underpass.

Kate's Fish Camp RV Park has some amazing nature and the campsites are a breeze to park on. They have an awesome outdoor shower, plus the bathrooms are super clean and well-maintained. You'll have water and electric hookups, but keep in mind there's no sewer or dump station on site. The campground is also right next to the bike trail, which is super convenient. You can have a lot of fun biking around Gainesville, Florida. Overall, it was a super nice experience with reasonable prices. I'd definitely go back. The campground has a really cozy feel. One last thing, Monica, one of the owners, makes amazing soaps you should try! You can usually find samples in the office.
