Jared Coffin House

What a win! The Jared Coffin House was just about perfect! The car service picked us up at the boat and that just set the stage for a fabulous getaway. Location location location! A +!! Room #201 was large, clean and bed super comfy. Bathroom also large and well laid out - one slightly negative note - the sink vanity is quite small so toiletries have to be stored in the cabinet below. Additional storage/table under the window could be helpful. You are right in town minutes from everything! Shopping and dining galore!! The breakfast offered is substantial and sitting spaces in both buildings a real plus. One other minor negative was hearing the garbage trucks in the early morning hours but please DO NOT let this stop you from booking here! Everyone we encountered at the hotel was warm

Positive: location Negative: pastries were not good. The women at the desk were great, but the concierge desk gave bad information about tours. sayin there was no city tour- we found out later they left from the museum -but the guys and other desk women were gracious and helpful

Great location and nice staff. Yummy breakfast goodies in the morning and a great bar / restaurant hidden down the back stairs. You step out into history - the preservation of the town and the hotel are second to none and the people who live here are the real deal. I would encourage everyone to make the trip - It's not easy to get here but well worth it. Great restaurants and shopping, not a franchise in site!

This was the most amazing place I have ever stayed. The staff was always polite, helpful, and respectful. The room was always cleaned up for us. We stayed a week and let me tell you, I loved every minute of our stay. I see some reviews complaining about stuff, yes you can hear other people while in your room, but come on it's a very old building. I've seen complaints about breakfast, honestly it was good too. Pastries, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, and yogurt were served. The beds were so comfortable too. We will forever be thankful of our stay here.

My husband and I chose the Jared Coffin House for our 30th wedding anniversary and could not be happier with that decision. Our great experience started a couple of weeks before our arrival when the concierge, Antonique, contacted us asking if we had any questions or if we needed a car to pick us up upon arrival. She helped with recommendations for places to eat, made reservations after we looked into the restaurants she recommended, and had a car waiting for us when we got off the ferry! ||Our driver was very kind. Check in was quick. Our bags were brought to our room. |We stayed in the Anna Gardener suite. It was beautiful! It smelled fresh and clean as soon as we walked in.
