Where to start? The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and had a private balcony with a drop-dead gorgeous view. The breakfast was a lot better than most places I have stayed. And the hot tub (that my back loves) has to be the best of anyplace I have ever stayed! We are definitely coming back.

The resort is well situated, every room has a balcony and view on the bay. The room amenities are simple. Accessibility to the outdoor pool is a bit difficult if you have mobility issues (it has neither a lift nor steps into the water). The staff are what make this place a joy to stay at. Every one is courteous and helpful. And Breakfast! Becky, the lady that faithfully sees to it that breakfast is available every morning, is simply the Best! Her dedication is invaluable, she is a Chincoteague Island Treasure!

Went for 3 nights during Pony Swim week 2025, on a girl's trip with friends. Beautiful location with great picturesque water views from the balcony as well as the boardwalk around the hotel. Delightful at sunset, too! The rooms were very comfortable, cozy, and clean. A homey atmosphere, which we appreciated. Miss Yvonne, who registered us at the front desk, was so welcoming, friendly, and a wealth of knowledge -- giving us many useful tips for the pony swim events, and for places to eat, etc. We did take advantage of the outdoor pool, and enjoyed swimming every day. It was in the 90s daily, and after a full day of activities and walking, it was wonderful to come back to a well-cooled room and pool (open late!) in which to relax and refresh before bed. They made me book an additional room because we had a small child that put us “over the limit” once we checked in after traveling 10 hours. We had no other choice since we couldn’t book a week long vacation somewhere at the last minute. We tried to speak with the owner to see if we could just book the 1 room since my child sleeps with me anyways and won’t take up another bed. We were told every day that the owner would be in to talk to us, but of course she never came. The “spare” room we had smelled moldy and musty. If we actually needed it, we wouldn’t have used it because it smelled so bad. As for the free breakfast - We had waffles, pre-cooked eggs and sausage for 3 days until more guests arrived, then more of selection was added. Please DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY…|We were very disappointed in the lack of unprofessional service, you will be so disappointed. This place is very outdated smells like mold in all the rooms on the first floor the ice room is completely molding where the ice machine is setting. We went several times to let the owner know our air conditioner was not cooling the room and our refrigerator was freezing everything she told us we can go else where. She twist and lies about anything the customer says she is very rude and completely unprofessional to all the guests not just us. The free breakfast she brags about is a lie. We were there a couple days the only served was cold boxed eggs and waffles no fresh fruits and the flys inside were awful they kept landing in the food inside the bread box so gros
