Inn at Mystic

Super cute place and the mansion is gorgeous! The food at The Rocks was great. I had heard some rumors about the place being haunted, and I actually had a small experience myself while staying in room 213. After I went to bed that evening, I heard something fall in the bathroom. When I checked, some of my items had fallen over even though everything had been placed neatly on the counter. Not sure what caused it, but it was definitely interesting! Overall, I would definitely go back.

I surprised my wife with a over night stay here. They had a great Valentines package, that included a dozen roses, small box of chocolates, champagne and a food voucher for their on-site restaurant Rocks 21. The room was amazing with a fireplace , jacuzzi tub for 2 people and a small balcony. Bed was comfortable, room was very clean and quiet. 100% recommend this hotel . The restaurant Rocks 21 was also amazing, great food and atmosphere.

We booked this hotel because of the pictures and the quite good reviews. But I can honestly say this hotel is the absolute most horrible place we have ever stayed in. The room (236) was old and worn. The furniture not antique but plain old (I know the difference - eg in Old Saybrook we stayed at a lovely place called the Saybrook Inn & Spa). But worst was the horribly loud airconditioner (like a plane engine next to your bed) and the dirty carpets, linens (stained) and smells and the curtains… well, see for yourself . There might be rooms that are better, but not 236… Not just the room could use an update, also the floors and doors leading to it. The only thing that should have “warned” me was the fairly low price. But having stayed at a cheap (but very clean!) holiday inn, I was hoping th

The Mystic Inn is a beautiful property in a great location. This hotel that originated back in the 1960’s has a rich history & will transfer you back in time. The rooms were clean though could use a little updating & fresh painting. The staff was accommodating & very friendly. We were pleased with the offering of continental breakfast daily & great coffee!!! We had no problem finding parking close by our room. The views from up top where the mansion is located are stunning they have benches located around the property to enjoy. We will def return back . Also upon arrival be sure to mention if you have AAA they offer a discount!

This inn could use some updates but overall we had a great experience. Raul checked us in and was very helpful and friendly. We got a king bed with fireplace and porch with a waterview. Our view was delightful and the bed was very comfortable. The room was spacious. The fireplace was nice too.
