Hyatt Place Tampa Airport/Westshore

The hotel itself is very nice. However, The shuttle service (complimentary lyft service) isn't real as lyft drivers will not accept a low fare rate and your ride will never get accepted. I was instructed by Hyatt to walk 20 minutes across the airport only to find out the ride doesn’t actually work. Had to request a Lyft myself, on my own dime, which was accepted right away.

Rooms are great. Staff was friendly. My only issue was with the bar and food. The same people that ran the front desk also did the bar and food. Obviously not bartenders. Breakfast was kinda gross unless you want waffles and yogurt. Food was pre-made and warmed in the back. "Bartenders" didn't know how to make drinks and some of the cocktails listed on the menu are in a can. But, everyone was really nice.

The King bed room with a sofa bed is well appointed. It is spacious and feels like a studio apartment without a kitchen. The only thing that would make the room better is to add a small microwave for reheating coffee. Breakfast is better than other hotels I've stayed in that off free breakfast. There are multiple restaurants within a three minute walk. I will stay here again for the area and proximity to fun things to see and do.

Positive: The location was good. Very close to the Stadium where we were attending an event. Negative: They were doing construction in the hotel, and they started banging at 8 am. I felt that if they knew they were going to be working and banging so early, they should have put the room out of service.

Stayed here after a cruise for 2 nights before we flew back home. Staff were friendly and helpful and location was good for us and close to some restaurants and the airport. Skylar and Jose were great at checking us in and giving us some information about the area around the hotel. The room size was big and roomy and no issues with the newly renovated room. The included breakfast was decent for a hotel and had enough variety for us. We would stay here again in the future.
