Hyatt Place Lexington

We booked through Expedia. The hotel ended up over booked and gave us the wrong room. I reserved one with two queen beds two weeks before our stay. They charged me for it well before our stay and then gave us the wrong room with just one bed. The carpet was also gross in our room. There are no USB ports for device charging. Our room phone didn't even work to be able to call the front desk. I would not recommend this hotel. I understand they over booked, but they should have done something to apologize for their mistake and the inconvenience.

Lexington was our designated halfway stop en route to N Carolina from Michigan. This Hyatt Place property fit the bill for location along I-75, nearby dining options & some hearty breakfast choices. The check in process was smooth & friendly. Room was roomy clean & comfortable . Air conditioning unit was functional but loud. | Numerous dining options within walking distance of this Hyatt. Breakfast room was well maintained with options to fit our tastes & needs. Plenty of on-site parking.

Positive: Room size and layout were very nice. Liked that it had a restaurant.. the price for the room was also reasonable. Negative: Room was humid, the bed hurt our backs, and there were no towel hooks. There was no microwave.

It was very nice but they did not have a microwave in the room. First place I ever been where they did not have a microwave. Haven motel 6 hours has a microwave. LOL we had some leftovers from a restaurant and we couldn't heat them up because we did not have a microwave, we told the front desk and they said that was a corporate decision

I highly do not recommend this hotel. I checked in on a fall cold night — the room was stuffy and smelt old, and the hot water didn’t work when I was ready to take a hot shower. I asked to be switched to another room. They did so without even checking the condition — that room had brown stains in the tub. I ended up just leaving, wasting money since the hotel wouldn’t approve a request to refund my hotel through Priceline, and going to Tru By Hilton down the street, which was MUCH better.
