Stayed the weekend after Christmas. Excellent location. Friendly staff. Very clean. Quiet. Comfortable bed if you like a soft mattress. Pool was closed. Breakfast was subpar as far as hotel breakfast goes. Great for a quick bowl of cereal or toast or bagel. Hot food was cold. Waffles were good but no butter or syrup replenished til I was almost finished.
I cannot brag enough about this hotel & its staff. 5 ⭐️s does not do it justice…they definitely 10+. I was the mother of the bride & not only did all my family but numerous friends stayed here as well. From the minute we all walked in till the day we left they were so helpful & accommodating!! We held rehearsal supper in conference room which event coordinated (sorry I don’t remember names) front desk & general manager were all in there helping us with tables, speakers, anything we needed. The patio was a bonus as everyone wandered out there after supper to enjoy the pond & everyone’s company (I do apologize if we were loud). Our rooms were exceptionally clean & comfortable. This stop was an overnight, while passing through. It was pet-friendly, so we got to enjoy doggos while we sat at the bar in the lobby. It was a great place to get some door-dash and have a nightcap after a day of driving. The rooms were clean, with a nice layout for visiting and sleeping.
This was our 2nd time spending the night here at Hyatt in Des Moines and Marty at the front counter is the best!! I've never had any front desk people at hotels actually care for their job. Marty was having full blown conversations with us and making our stay much better!! We did get back and our key wouldn't work, went to the front desk and they helped us right away!! The rooms were very clean, I enjoyed my stay! The price of the room was pretty good for booking last minute aswell!! 5/5 stars for sure!!
