Hyatt Centric Old Town Alexandria

My husband and I and our two dogs had a super stay at the Hyatt Centric. The hotel was welcoming in our room was clean with a big window. It was very small, but big enough for us as a couple. There’s a side street, which was perfect for walking the dogs for their business and the entire town was extremely dog friendly.||For people without dogs, this is the perfect spot as it’s at the top of the strip and it’s a mile walk down to the water along one of the most beautiful streets in America. Loads of restaurants And trendy bars, as well as a couple good beer holes. Lots of different kinds of cuisines and many local coffee shops so worth the trip, but be prepared to walk the strip. Love old town, Alexandria.

Positive: Pleasant and friendly staff. Clean hotel. Price decent location, especially if you’re riding on the train or Metro. Near many coffee, shops and restaurants. Negative: The rooms are not particularly anything special. Although the dog tail coat hangers are cute. It is a little far from the riverfront where there are more restaurants.

Lovely, perfect location in Alexandria. Multiple restaurants and businesses within walking distance surround the hotel. Booked last minute as a stop on a road trip and arrived in the evening. The gentleman working overnight at the front desk was very pleasant, professional, and courteous. The rooms are on the smaller side, but this was fine. We found them to be clean and comfortable. I would certainly recommend this Hyatt location.

Great location and great hotel. Right on Kings street and in walking distance of activates and restaurants. I arrived early evening and check-in was quick. The only option for parking was valet, $45, unless you want to drive around and find your own spot, there are not a ton of options in the area. The rooms are small but get the job done. The shower water pressure was fantastic and the room included all the amenities that would be needed. I stayed in a King room. Overall, the room was great and perfect for one or two people for a couple days. For an additional cost breakfast is available downstairs, which is nice to have if you don't feel like searching for something else. Coffee and tea is also available in the lobby. Location is 10/10 Rooms are uncomfortable/small and not well kept Service was 0/10. The check in staff was generally not interested in engaging with anyone and acted as though I was a bother. The valet service is not operational at regularly expected times and was no where to be found each time we arrived at the hotel. We ended up checking out early and moving to the Hilton because the service experience was sub par for my expectations of Hyatt.
