Hotel Indigo Old Town Alexandria by IHG

Solid location for Old Town Alexandria. This was my second stay at this location. My room had an HVAC issue, which they resolved by moving my to another room. Very walkable and the location along the Patomic makes for great views. At at the related Cafe for breakfast and dinner. Food and service was also solid. Will stay again.

We love Alexandria and we checked into the hotel in late afternoon. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and gave us a room upgrade to a corner room with a great view of the river. Though I do not believe the hotel to be crowded, this was a very nice surprise. The room was clean and comfortable and offered a great restful sleep after a long day of touring the city. We had drinks and appetizers at the bar and the bartender, a vivacious young lady from Mississippi was friendly and fun. A very nice stay overall.

I had an excellent stay at Hotel Indigo in Alexandria, VA. The property is clean, stylish, and perfectly located right by the waterfront and Old Town’s shops and restaurants. My room was spotless and comfortable, and the entire atmosphere felt warm and welcoming.||A special shout-out to Stephon at the front desk — he was outstanding. From the moment I arrived, Stephon was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. He made check-in smooth, answered every question with a smile, and genuinely elevated the whole experience. Having someone that attentive on the front line really sets this hotel apart.||I’ll absolutely be staying here again. Highly recommend!

Check-in was excellent — Nigel at the front desk was energetic, welcoming, and full of helpful suggestions for enjoying Old Town. The lobby has a small market with snacks, drinks, and even OTC medicines. The $15 daily market credit was a thoughtful touch we used every day.||The location is outstanding. Right in the heart of downtown Alexandria, it’s an easy walk to shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. We could even catch a glimpse of the Potomac from our room. The water taxi to DC is just steps away. Parking is a bit tricky: there’s no traditional valet, just a small garage where cars are double-parked. On busy nights, we had to park on the street until the attendant reshuffled.|Our room was small but cozy, with good lighting and a very comfortable bed. We slept well and never heard hal

Wife and I did a staycation to celebrate our anniversary. We got the top floor most expensive room option. Staff was great. The room… not so much. All of the curtains were broken. They used duct tape to cover holes that were popped in the wall. The toilet broke. Even the hot sauce the restaurant serves is expired. The “$40 breakfast” is just a $40 credit to use at the restaurant which is dumb, why not just have people spend the money there instead of pretending like that fee includes breakfast. Definitely not worth the $500 total price tag per night. There are better options elsewhere in old town.
