Customer Reviews
The hotel really deserves 3.5 stars but I was happy to round up. After reading some really terrible recent reviews I was close to canceling my reservation. I’m glad I didn’t. The hotel is charming and old fashioned, we found all of the staff friendly and had good sleeps in our comfy bed. Its central location means it’s walkable to almost all of the cites and restaurants. We had lovely messages at the spa and enjoyed morning coffee from the market in the lobby. ||Yes, the hotel is old and could use a refresher. My husband couldn’t get hot water in the shower at the spa. Our room shower took a long time to drain. The hot tub by the pool is more of a bath with no jets. We didn’t need the air conditioner but the heating system made some strange noises, nothing to keep us awake though. ||Perhap
Positive: location Negative: no outdoor pool which I was told on the phone there was. And the hours of the roof top, closing at10 pm and opening of bar hours.
Within 15 minutes of getting to our room, the mirror in the bathroom fell off the wall, breaking parts of it. We upgraded to a suite. Room/suite had a window pane that was falling out. My husband fixed it with bandaids. We told the man at the front desk thinking management would get someone to come and fix it. Never happened. Luckily the pane remained the 4 days we were there. Room was okay… very dated. Food in the restaurant was good. Service was adequate. Valet service was good. Very pretty hotel upon entering. Definitely needs to be cleaned up and updated which we understood will begin November 2-April or May 2026. Many small details need be addressed. Could be a 5 star hotel.
My husband and I came to celebrate our anniversary||The location is perfect, and it’s our third time staying here. . ||We were warmly greeted by Christy. She is so sweet and courteous. Our suite was beautiful. ||Aside from location and amenities, service is most important to us. ||We had the most contact with Christy and she needs to be cloned. She is wonderful. We also dealt with Emily and she was also very courteous and went above and beyond. ||I’m glad we also got to meet Brian, the front desk manager who truly appreciates his guests and wants them to have a great experience, and we did!||We look forward to returning after the renovation.
Great location but sections of the hotel are really hot. My room got up to 88 degrees one day… they moved me to a cooler room at 3:00 in the morning. The tv only worked half the time; they did fix it at one point only for it to go out again. May be due to the age of the building? Great staff…building needs work, tho.
