Hotel Galena

My husband and I stayed in room 7 of the Riverboat Suites. The fireplace and bathtub were much appreciated on such a cold winter day. The room was very clean with a great bed and luxurious linens. We had plenty of room with separate sitting and breakfast areas. We would have loved to try the breakfast, and the coffee smelled great. The courtyard looks like a perfect place to have breakfast or just relax in warmer weather. Nate was very friendly and communicative throughout and was able to check us in early, which was much appreciated. We look forward to staying at Hotel Galena again, maybe to try a different room. All the rooms look so unique.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was spotless and full of charm, with beautiful wood beams, a cozy fireplace, and a large steam shower that felt like a spa experience. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the skylights filled both the room and bathroom with warm natural light. Breakfast was fresh, hot, and delicious, paired with a great cup of coffee and enjoyable conversation with the owner himself. Nate is incredibly knowledgeable about the town’s rich history and gave us excellent recommendations for places to see, great food, and local attractions that will definitely bring us back. We can’t wait for our next stay with Nate and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Our first visit to Galena was warm and inviting! The charming in was very comfortable, including jacuzzi, fireplace, king bed, and new steam shower bathroom. We met Nate the owner who communicated with us on Checkin, breakfast and took time to explain some of the history of Galena. The Inn is walking distance from downtown and included a binder of Galena Information. Convenient parking next to the suite. Looking forward to a spring/summer visit!

We stayed at the Hotel Galena for one night as a spur of the moment getaway. From booking a reservation to check out, an overall seamless , positive experience. Great communication and specific instructions via texts. Nate, the innkeeper was fantastic: knowledgeable, organized, very helpful and personable. He offered multiple times to carry our bags as there were steps to our room. We were able to manage without difficulty, but what a nice service! Our room (#3) was clean, very comfortable, cozy with alot of natural light. Great views as well. Main Street was a short walk away and very enjoyable. We can't say enough of positive things about our stay and experience at the Galena Hotel and plan on coming back in warmer weather to hopefully stay longer. Highly recommend!

My wife and I decided to come to Galena and stay at The Hotel Galena for our anniversary. The Hotel itself is gorgeous and such a piece of history. We loved the style and the gargoyles around the property made it even better. The location is great and is a easy walk into downtown Galena. We stayed in Suite 6 which is amazing. We had a very nice stay. Amenities like the nice big steam shower, the large jetted tub, the fireplace and the layout of the suite were very cozy and made the whole experience quite pleasant. It was a very enjoyable stay and we would definitely love to come back some day. Thank you for everything.
