Abe's Spring Street Guest House

This might be my favorite B&B I've ever been to. We stayed in Albert's Glen, which was spacious and filled with thoughtful touches. But what really makes this a special place is the hosts, Sandy and Mark. They are friendly and kind, and taught us a lot about the history of the building and of Galena. Breakfast in the old brewing room is a special experience and not to be missed. I believe it is only offered on Sundays, and is free if you stay at least 2 nights. Can't wait to come back!

Staying once again in the Albert’s Glen suite at Abe’s Spring Street Guest House was as special as ever. As art lovers, we enjoy being surrounded by owner Charles Fach’s sculptures, paintings, and tiles in this unique and historic setting. We always enjoy the cozy feeling of this clean suite with its very comfortable bed and pillows, varied seating and bathing options, and convenient kitchen. Plus, we appreciate its outdoor seating with a view of huge trees, parking availability, and easy access to downtown Galena. Guests can expect easy communication with manager Debbie. We plan to return to Abe's Spring Street Guest House like our friends who are repeat guests in a different suite!

A most enjoyable getaway! Accommodation was Clean, Spacious yet Cozy and Quiet. Perfect for our needs |Ideally located to make for a pleasant walk to Downtown Galena and all it has to offer. |Top Class Breakfast on Sunday morning served up by the most gracious of hosts in a beautiful unique setting .

Location is about half mile up Spring Street- easy walk for sure. The room was wonderful for three people. Breakfast from the owners was fabulous! Honestly one of the best omelets I've ever had. We would definitely stay here again, quiet and just far enough to enjoy a small town feel but close enough to enjoy the party that is downtown.

Such a great experience, especially Sunday morning breakfast! We were the only guests the weekend we stayed and felt so special. The distance to the Main Street and other activities in town is lovely and would be walkable in nicer weather. We will definitely stay again if we go back to Galena.
