Hotel deLuxe

This was the second time I’ve stayed at hotel deluxe both times every staff member I encountered, from the front desk to security and everyone in between was always pleasant, respectful, nice and always very helpful. I was here for a full week of working long, odd hours. I was always greeted, almost like coming back home. I highly recommend staying here. It’s a great location, reasonable prices and both Gracie‘s in the Driftwood room have excellent food. Till next time y’all be safe and enjoy making memories.

Tried calling in for about 3-4 hours prior to check in and got no answer. I had to live chat through Expedia to speak to someone instead,and even then I got 1 response an hour after asking the question then never again after my reply. No fridges in rooms, parking is $40/day despite it being listed as an amenity. Ceilings had cracks all over it. One pipe leak and it's over for the whole building. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable, and room was relatively clean.

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Walking distance to a bunch of great spots in downtown. The water pressure was lacking but thats to be expected from an old building. The lounge is the weirdest part. It is so dark and oddly shaped that it feels like a cross between Harry potters closet and a cave. It feel less like ambiance and more like something is trying to be hidden from you. The one time we tried to go there it was an hour before closing and we were turned away as they had already done last call. Seemed odd. Overall rooms were spacious and bed were comfortable.

Positive: The front desk provides great service. Negative: Parking across the street. It’s very secure, but you need to plan around it.

Clean, a little bit classic/nostalgic, yet still modern rooms. Good downtown location. Staff was extremely nice with great service. Amenities were good with parking being the only drawback as it was a little expensive. But, it is downtown Portland.
