Homewood Suites by Hilton West Palm Beach

I recently stayed at a Homewood Suites in a different state and had a positive experience. While I usually stay at another hotel, I decided to book this location for a one-week stay. It is surrounded by other similar hotels, is close to the interstate, and has a nice pool area. The room was spacious. The carpet in the bed area was badly stained and looked like it needed a thorough cleaning. Several tiles in the shower were broken or cracked. My biggest complaint was that the HVAC unit made a considerable amount of noise, which impeded sleep quality. I mentioned it twice to the staff. I am not sure if the unit was ever looked at. I had a bit of a wait for my room, but Marlon was on point with his customer service! While checking in on room availability with the cleaning staff, he was also handling multiple guest requests and check ins all by himself. It was a very busy check in day, but I appreciated his professional and courteous demeanor.

Positive: Front desk and the lady's in the kitchen was very warm and welcoming. They made sure the food was nice and hot also my sugar free waffle syrup that kept on falling and replace it twice between my daughter and i:-) Negative: ""

I checked into room 101 around 6 pm with my family and the room smelled strongly of freshly cooked deep fried fish. This was not a faint or old odor. It smelled like someone had been frying fish just hours before we arrived. The smell was so strong you could smell it down the hallway before even entering the room. When I inspected the kitchen, it was obvious why. There were grease stains all over the stove, the stove walls, and the air duct. This room was clearly used for cooking shortly before our check in and was never properly cleaned or aired out. I asked for another room immediately and was told this was the last one available. I was assured maintenance would clean it. Maintenance came and did a rushed, low quality job. The smell was still there and the kitchen was still dirty. Beca

The shower water pressure was very weak. However, the location and overall service were very good. Since I have a leg injury, I really appreciated that you assigned us a room close to the elevator—it was very thoughtful. Breakfast was also delicious. One thing to note is that the fitness center is quite small for a hotel of this size.
