Homewood Suites by Hilton Somerset

This was not a perfect stay but it was perfectly handled. Every time we had a problem it was quickly and completely fixed. We also had a breakfast hostess named Tara who was as kind as her smile implied. Beyond being nice she was helpful several times during our week long stay. Then there was Eli, the hotel or grounds man. He helped us with the hot tub and pool then as if that wasn’t enough, he found an item we dropped and made sure it got back to us. Everyone who worked here seemed happy. Thank you all for a great week.

We stayed at the Homewood Suites Somerset by Hilton from December 19th to the 26th and it was quite an adventure. First, the reservation was under the wrong name and we were told that it was cancelled by Priceline, Priceline said it was cancelled by Hilton. Long story short, Lesley who was the front desk agent who put two and two together and figure it out. We were able to check in and get to our room after a six-hour car ride. So, a huge shout out to Lesley and her ability to solve problems quickly. Another individual who is worth mentioning is Nellie, she was great addressing any issue that we had and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and during our time there, she was able to assist with afterhours concerns, such as noisy guests and non-working items in the room. Pool area was always dirty, not cleaned up from the night before, and after my three night stay the color of the pool was so murky and gross I didn’t even want to go near it. They didn’t restock the towels in the morning and when I called to ask for towels at 8 am (the pool opens at 6 am) I was told I would have to wait until the head house cleaner arrived. I just left after a few minutes wet and cold. I also sent pictures of the mess and they had no response. Last, they changed the room I had reserved ahead of time at the last minute. I didn't appreciate that. The only redeeming quality was the breakfast. Our room was clean but there were some wrappers or cleaning swabs wet and left in the corner of the shower. Positive: Location Negative: The room was sold to me as 984 square feet, was only 400 square feet. Old hotel needing refresh, not very clean room

The front desk agent, Nelly, checked me in and she was super awesome! She welcomed me with a smile and was very pleasant to talk to. Front desk staff makes a huge impact when staying at different hotels, and she made my day! Thank you Nelly for your great customer service and being so friendly to me and my guest!
