DoubleTree by Hilton Somerset Hotel and Conference Center

My mother and I stayed here for 3 nights and we had a great experience. The front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. The main waiter during our hotel breakfasts, David, went above and beyond to attend to our needs, even remembering our beverage preferences after only a day! The rooms are on the older side with minor signs of wear, but the furniture is of higher quality / more sturdy than other hotels. It was also quiet and spacious, which was a plus. Our room was generally clean but not perfect, with some dusty corners. One downside was the limited appliances (no microwave or even a mini-fridge), but that was fine for our needs. Overall, we had a pleasant time and I can definitely see myself staying here again

We were greeted by welcoming and attentive staff. The lobby is open and spacious, and it was located close to where we needed to be. The downsides were that we expected breakfast to be included, but was $16 per person. And the room, while spacious and functional, was musty and had seen better days. It was fine for what we were doing, but this hotel should make some updates. I get that it's in a college town, so visitors tend not to treat their rooms kindly, but little updates could go a long way. Overall, not bad, not great. Perfectly serviceable.

Very strange location, kind of stuck with nothing immediately around except another hotel. ||Like most Hilton's these days they were super difficult with a late check-out even though the parking lot was completely empty the next morning. This policy is really turning us away from Hilton properties in 2026.||Hotel rooms are quite dated, an already dark room was missing a lightbulb and the heat was left off when we arrived so was freezing.||Found a leftover sock in the room and the cable TV didn't work for all channels.||Only saving grace was there's an above average gym.

Positive: The rooms were decent and cleaning staff were very assessable, accommodating and friendly.. Front desk staff were nice & professional. Negative: Hotel is very old and needs many new accommodations like automatic entry doors, lobby upgraded furniture. I heard that the pool was empty which is not right in the heat of summer. A lot of improvements are needed. Not a 4 Star Hotel!

Stayed here twice for job assignments in the area. Walking into lobby there were many places to eat. Front desk staff were so sweet and kind. Although my room was on the fifth floor with no microwave the front desk had one down in lobby area and was extremely gracious in letting me use it. As I love taking pictures on their grounds was a fountain you could walk to which was special. Upon arrival I had the sweetest housekeeping staff person named Jesus that returned my luggage cart down to lobby for me and everyone here was super super nice. Their cookies were great too. 10/4-10/8/25
