Homewood Suites by Hilton Austin-South/Airport

Its a solid 3 stars. Room was reasonably clean. Everything worked except the TV was glitchy, this was a common problem as several colleagues mentioned same. Breakfast was standard hotel fare. If you want to do anything, you will need transportation.

While this isn’t the worst Homewood Suites I’ve stayed at that honor still belongs to the one in mobile AL, it’s still not worth the money to stay here. First issue the homeless situation in the area is so bad that there’s night security in the parking lot. Second issue is the condition of the rooms the bathroom had peeling paint on the ceiling and rotten woodwork around the door. Third issue the ice maker in the refrigerator dispensed rusty looking ice. Fourth issue was the quality of the food I’ve had better breakfast at Hampton Inns and the coffee was absolutely terrible. Fifth and final issue was the attitude of the staff the Friday morning staff in the kitchen was far from friendly or helpful. There are better Hilton choices in Austin so I would avoid this one.

Hotel was clean and a room was ready upon check in. I checked in and selected my room the day before, on the app, however it wasn't available when we arrived and I had to select a different room. The breakfast was just "ok". I have had better/more options at other chain hotels with a cheaper rate. The room was clean but the beds weren't the best as far as comfort. They are VERY firm and caused my husband and I to struggle for decent sleep.

Currently staying here at this hotel. We got our vehicle broken into. They said they have cameras but that are making us wait an until the next day to have someone to come to the office to attempt to get the footage for us. This is an urgent matter as this involved our company vehicle and no one seems to care to help. Very disappointed. Especially since we’re supposed to be staying here for 2 whole weeks.

After having issues with our 3rd party booking, Jeremiah and his team were more than helpful to get the situation resolved. The rooms were clean, location was good and service was excellent! Many thanks for a great night
