Homewood Suites by Hilton Alexandria/Pentagon South, VA

Unfortunately I was quite shocked about our stay at this hotel last month. We arrived and the decor and environment of the hotel appeared how it was on the website. To include the way the rooms looked. However upon entering our suite room we first discovered a bug on one of the bed pillows. We were willing to deal with this and had requested for the bed sheets & pillows to be replaced. As we were preparing to handle that situation myself and family were greeted by a mouse in the room. From that point because it was 1am in the morning (& we all were visiting the area and had no where else to go at that moment) we decided to have them move us to another room and we left immediately the next day. I stayed 5 nights for a work training. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist, but when I first arrived, the room wasn't even clean. The sitting area had food crumbs all over the floor and food residue/stains on the food tray. I went down and asked the receptionist if they could please vacuum and wipe the tray. They sent a man who vacuumed, but when I asked him to wipe the tray he just grabbed some paper towels from under the sink and wet them-- I could have done that! It made me lose confidence whether other surfaces in the room were sanitized as well. ||I found later that the comforter had a mystery dirt stain as well, but I just wiped it off myself and tried to use the sheet as a barrier. ||The room was generally very worn, and sub-par. There were noticeable stains on the carpet-

I stayed for 4 nights and I absolutely loved it. The hotel is very clean, peaceful, and the front desk team was outstanding, very attentive and friendly on both the morning and evening shifts. I would also like to highlight the service of the housekeeper, Miriam. She was so kind; during my stay I didn’t request housekeeping service, but on Sunday I needed fresh towels and sheets. She didn’t hesitate to help and even offered to change everything if I wanted. She was very willing to assist and, most importantly, she did it with a smile. Thank you! I truly enjoyed my stay and I would definitely come back. 🙏🏻

I am very disappointed with the customer service I received. We completed a digital check-in and asked Ridvan if we could get a bottled water, as none was present in our room. He responded that it had already been given during check-in. When I explained that we had checked in digitally, he told me I was ‘suspicious.’ Suspicious for what—simply asking for water after digital check-in? Furthermore, I had previously mentioned several issues with our room, but no room change or solution was offered. His only response was, ‘Thank you for letting us know.’ This lack of empathy and professionalism is unacceptable. I feel that my experience at your hotel has not reflected the value of what I paid.
