Home2 Suites by Hilton Wildwood the Villages

My wife and I being critical seniors gave this hotel a 8.1 out of 10 rating. We had a king studio suite for 11 nights. The hotel is very clean, efficient room design, nice gym, good parking, safe location, nice breakfast, but most of all we’re the employees! So very friendly and helpful. We hope the company recognizes their efforts contribute to a memorable stay. Special thanks to manager Penny and house keeper Tay! Don’t bother looking at other area hotels. You will not be disappointed staying here.

Positive: The staff always greeted us with a smile and acknowledged us. They were very accommodating to extending our stay as our moving truck has not arrived as scheduled. Negative: I did not see anything out of place and no negative opinion of hotel and staff.

We have stayed at this particular property on four occasions--each on one week blocks and typically we are there every calendar quarter. We pay for the most expensive room/suite on the site. So it is not as though we are asking for too much.||Our first stay back in June of 2024 was very good. Since then, each successive time has proven to be worse and worse. This last visit became our last straw so to speak. We were so disturbed by the disappointing service, representations made, and promises not kept, that we went ahead today when we returned home and cancelled two more reservations for future stays there. We stayed here as a halfway point between destinations and it was a great experience. The location is top notch. Everything is very clean and well organized. The staff were super nice and welcoming. The room was large and had all the comforts of home like a fridge, washing machine and more. Bathroom had a nice stand in shower. Bed was super comfortable. Hotel was quiet overall. The free breakfast was great. They had eggs, sausage, biscuits, yogurt, milk, and more. I can’t complain about anything. We usually stay at Marriott hotels but this experience has swayed me a bit in Hilton’s favor.

Unclear service standards and disappointing breakfast: We reserved a suite for four people, but the sofa bed was not prepared upon arrival. We had to request the missing sheets and pillows and make the bed ourselves. At checkout, we were told that Home2 Suites is not a standard hotel and that sofa beds are only prepared if guests specifically request it. This policy was not communicated in advance and is not reflected in the room rate, which is not lower than that of other hotels that provide this service. Breakfast is served until 9:30 a.m., yet before 9:15 a.m. basic items, including bread and bowls, were already unavailable.
