Holiday Inn Tampa North by IHG

I was here for 2 nights and I had a good experience staying at this hotel. There was a lot of free parking locations, the check in and check out was super quick, and it was a calm environment. The room had everything we need, even an iron and a hair dryer, you can see that in the photos. Everything was clean and modern. Just be careful with the tub, it was a little bit slippery.

I stayed at that this holiday after I accidentally booked it. It’s far from downtown. When I was arriving to my hotel room, I saw a black man that was slipping pizza vouchers under every door. He reeked like marijuana and the whole place smelled like weed. I later saw him walk out from the side door. Later, I saw another one doing the same thing. I don’t know how or why they would have access to be roaming the halls. It felt unsafe!

If you need a hotel near USF and Busch Gardens- this is fine. The parking fee is $10. We were told we couldn't check in until 3pm because they were cleaning the rooms. However, when we went to the room, the sofa bed wasn't set up. When we removed the cushions, someone's lingerie was in between the cushions. Luckily, it didn't seem to be used lingerie. I'm not expecting a sofa bed to be the most comfortable thing I've slept in, but this one was PAINFUL. The springs were digging into my back. I recommend asking for a room not facing the road as it gets loud at night. If you want a cheap hotel and aren't gonna be using the sofa bed, I guess this is fine. We have hidden the lingerie somewhere in the room for another guest to find. Good luck.

We arrived at the front desk late after driving from the FL east coast, to be greeted by friendly and helpful agents behind the desk. Check in was swift and they answered our questions about getting to the Moffitt Center, which was about 3 minutes away. We had only a brief stay, but room was clean and nice amenities. The only thing I found fault with was in the bathroom, where there was a used wash cloth hanging on top of the shower curtain rod. We were also given a discount on the room price due to a person in our party being a CA pt at Moffitt. Would book again.

I had a pleasant stay overall. The lobby was clean, and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. My room was comfortable, and I loved that I could bring my pets. They even waived the pet fee for everyone due to Hurricane Milton, which was a thoughtful touch. While there were a few minor issues, like a stained bed sheet and some noise from the room above, the staff's kindness and the comfortable atmosphere made up for it. I'd definitely consider staying again, especially with a few small improvements.
