Holiday Inn & Suites Houston West - Katy Mills by IHG

We recently stayed here while visiting our son and daughter-in-law in Katy. I'm not sure why the reviews were so low. The hotel is immaculately clean. The front desk was extremely kind and efficient in getting us checked in and making sure we had the rooms we wanted. We were traveling with another party so she put the rooms right next to each other, which was so nice of her. I got a price for one bedroom with two queen beds for $114 from Hotels.com. The hotel could only offer $120 with tax. I would definitely stay here again. The parking lot is very bright and well lit to prevent break-ins. My only negative is that they charge $14 for breakfast. Breakfast should be included with your stay at Holiday Inn and similar hotels in my opinion.

Positive: The room size, friendliness of the staff Negative: The breakfast, the price was not posted. $75 for 4 people’s breakfast that was definitely not worth it. The pancakes were hard couldn’t even cut it. Sausage was barely cooked. For that amount of money I would have went to an actual breakfast place.

We stayed with the family to attend a rock climbing competition at the climbing gym next-door. The hotel was very competently run. They responded quickly to minor issues and were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay again. Room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Good pressure in the shower.

I’ve been an IHG member for many years. I stay mainly at IHG properties and have held an Elite status for years. Over the past years (mainly since Covid), I’ve noticed a decline in how the staff and the hotels are managed day to day. The Holiday Inn in Katy, sets the standard in how a guest, at any level, should be treated. From the moment I enters the lobby, the staff was professional, friendly and engaging. I was greeted with my name and thanked for staying with the hotel. Checking was quick and simple and my room was upgraded because I needed up not having an extra guest with me on this trip. My son and his buddy joined me at dinner in the hotel restaurant and the staff was very accommodating. (I had two 10 year old boys with me, so you can imagine how dinner choices went. lol) My

We stayed with our grandsons, just prior to Christmas. The staff was very accommodating, including front desk, housekeeping, hand maintenance for being so close to the holidays. Everybody was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the hotel is in a great location next to the mall, all in all an excellent stay. We’ve stayed there twice before and never been disappointed.
